My PSD 2006 f250 for a cc 2008 f350 v10. I don't really tow much anymore, and I am really wanting a cc for the family. Found a white xl with 67,000 miles on it. Power everything no options (which I prefer). Dealer is asking 18,999. No experience with the v10. Also has a 6.4 black 2008, but I am Leary of the 6.4 and don't really news the power. Is 18,999 too much or ball park? It looks clean, no rust etc. Will I be disappointed in the v10? Gonna go drive it Thursday.
I loved my V10, and it was the lower hp 2v as opposed to the higher hp 3v you'd be getting in the '08.
When you test drive it, let that thing rev. I see alot times where diesel owners are reluctant to wrap these motors out at the higher rpm's (where alot of the power is) since they're used to the low end grunt of the diesel.
All you need to do is ask the Ford Service Manager to show you the TSB's for the '08 V-10. They won't even go 1/2 a page long, all minor stuff. I have my '08 V-10 since August 2007 and it has been THE very best truck I've ever owned including 2 7.3's and a 6.9 idi. However, I would definately change the plugs now and not wait until 90k or so like I did. I will now change my plugs every 50k.
You just did the whole 4x4 conversion and all that work and you are gonna sell it? Boo
Hahahaha that's what my wife said. But we had another kid and car seats just don't gel with super cabs. Plus my 11 year old is getting cramped in the back.
