head light wire?????? helllppp

I have HIDs I dont no if that matters or not im looking for the headlight wire so I can tap into it so I can connect my roof clearence lights. Plz help guys.. thanks again you guys been great post some pics as soon I as I get them connected

You will have to specify which vehicle you are working on...

Be very careful here. HIDs can draw more juice than regular bulbs. Splicing into this source to power more bulbs could easily result in a toasted wiring harness, or worse.

Its a 1999 f250 sb ext cab. And yea thats what im scared off happening. That or a fuse or something worse..

You do not tap into the headlights, they are on a different circuit. You tap into the brown wire which is the running lights wire.

On the older trucks there was a empty plug behind the driver's side kick panel with the brown wire running to it. Roof lights were a factory option and they plugged them into this brown wire with the plug on it if the truck was ordered with them.

You have a later truck, I am not sure where this plug is on your truck. But they usually ran the wire up the A-pillar beside the windshield, so I would think it would be located somewhere near the kick panel on either side of the interior.

Do a google search for "1999 Ford truck roof lights" and see if something comes up.

Thanks man im goin to check it out soon as im off work. Ill make a search online also and see what I can find. Thanks again guys you guys a big help
