I just bought a 05 F-250 156" wheel base crew cab 6.0 with LT305/70R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Any advice on tire pressure. Manufacture label on truck says 75psi cold but the tire itself says 65psi max. Any help! I mostly drive without a load also.
The tire pressure label assumes that you are running stock size tires. With your larger tires (which have a higher load rating at less pressure), you should run below the pressure specified on the sidewall. I would not exceed sidewall pressure.
If you want exact technical information, calculate the load rating for stock size tires at the pressure specified on the truck's sticker. Determine the load rating at that pressure. Next, find the equivalent load rating for your new tires and determine the required pressure.
It is easier to do some trial-and-error tests. As a starting point, try 55 psi all around. My guess is that it will be close to what you need.
Other folk here run that size tire and could give you their numbers.
