I found a lift kit on Craigslist for cheap, which I was looking for for my F250. But it's for an F150. Besides the front coil springs, is anything different with these two suspensions? I'm thinking I have track bars and F150's have radius arms. Its a new kit in the box. Will the drop brackets for the axle be the same?
i know that the spindles and a few other parts are different. the f250 spindles are much thicker. thats what gives them a higher stance that the f150. the brackets might not fit... the coil springs are the same height, the f250 springs are thicker
Right, well the 250 is leaf sprung in the front, so I'd be buying addia-leafs or some leaf packs. The only thing I'm not sure of is if the drop brackets in the front will work, I've seen pics of both and the f250s seem different.
i doubt very much that the drop brackets will work.
and even if they did, you would have to spend more on new springs to fit the drop than you could ever save on the used kit.
the springs have to match the drop brackets perfectly, or you will never be able to align the front end.
It's 200 for a brand new kit, no shocks, but I think I'll pass on the chance, and save the dough. If anybody needs one though, it's in the Western Maryland CL
