high oil pressure
I have a 83 E-350 with a 460 in it. I had to remove the factory oil cooler assy. due to a crack in the housing. I put a standard oil filter back on directly to the engine. Now I have about 55lbs. at idle and at2000rpm its about 75to80lbs. Any idea what happened? Im at a loss

The 460's have really good oil pressure, 40-90psi is considered normal. My 93 with over 200 grand has 40psi hot idle and 60 at cruize

On the new (Autometer) guage it reads about 50psi at idle & just about pegs the factory gauge....
