What Radiator?????
Hey guys its me again... You have been so helpful in me getting this engine swap done, thanks a bunch! Ok I yanked out the 6cyl and dropped in a fresh 302. I used the rad from the 78 f100 v8 and it was just fine and now that I worked out all the bugs that rad decided to **** the bed on me. anyway, got to get another one. the only reason I used it is because it looked new, so I made a few brackets and bought an electric fan with temp switch and bam! worked perfect. I never really liked that setup anyway with the homade brackets and cooling fan wiring and stupid universal flex rad hose. Question is, factory v8 rad and shroud is a bunch of dough, but will a belt driven oldschool fan line up off my waterpump from my 302? or will it hit the shroud. I was also told a 6cyl explorer rad and shroud from bone yard would work... This is not a junk truck, everything is done nicely and I dont want it looking crappy, but I know these trucks never had a 302 in em so what are my options? also I still have the rad from the 6cyl. is it big enough?

Find a '70's model pickup with a 302 and get the shroud off of it. You may have to search a little to find the proper length fan spacer to get the fan where it needs to be in relation to the shroud. There are a ton of different length spacers made. You should be able to find one to make it work just right.
