Stuck 360..please help?
I'm new to these engines, and nobody around here seems to be into old fords, so I'm looking for advice. I have recently acquired a 1976 F-150 with a 360 bored .030 over and slight cam. Apparently the truck ran great until it sat for 3 years and now it's stuck. We pulled the spark plugs out and one was very rusty. Shot transmission fluid into the cylinders and let it sit a week before trying to turn it by hand, but it's still stuck.
Is it worth getting the engine unstuck, and if so, any advice on a better way to do it? Do these engines have any re-sale value?
I'm not looking to spend a lot, as the engine will not be in the truck forever.
Thanks in advance!

Likely rusty cylinder(s). Might break it loose, might not? All depends on how much you want to tear it down to get it loose.
360's are not big ticket items. Especially if one/more cylinders are rusted up badly. Might get it running good, might burn oil due to bad rings/pitted cylinder walls.
Try Marvels Mystery Oil, seriously. pour a generous amount in each cylinder and let sit for bout 2 days and just slowly work it back and forth. Its a pain but if you dont want to rebuild, thats what i would do. I used a 3/4" breaker bar, and back and forth, for bout an hour and i started getting a little movment and then a little more. I broke mine free and had to tear it apart anyway, bad bearings. But Best of Luck
P.S. If you do go this route use caution it does make a rather HUGE mess. put rags over the spark plug holes, invest in some floor dry.
