for the best $$$ .. what brand of lift kit do you guys recommend? I'm looking to do a 2" or 2 1/2" lift.. don't want a climb aboard, just enough to clear my 35's.. they barely hit the fender well when turning all the way.. thanks..
The first time around I went with a Zone 2.5" leveling kit. Worked fine for me just driving around town. I'm running 35x12.50 tires. But once off road and hitting bumps I found them hitting a lot. I then added the 1" shackles to get a little extra height. That fixed the issue. As far as the lift Zone was perfect for the price. I just wanted more clearance so we took that off and went with a BDS 6" lift. I would just suggest looking down the road and make sure 2.5" will do for you. I should have just gone with a 4" or 6" in to start and I would not have spent so much money. Just my 2 cents.
When I bought my F250 it had 4" blocks in the rear, but I have no idea what was done to level it in the front. I put 35x12.5x16 on it when I needed new tires, and experience a bit of rub at the plastic front fender liners at full lock, either direction. I just try to remember not to turn the wheel that far.
OP what year truck do you have? it depends alot on leaf vs coil front ends, leaf 2" kit will clear 35's barely on the street any off road forget it. 2" coil lift will clear 35's with no problems.......
