Really dumb tailgate install question
66 f100 long bed. How the heck does one get the tailgate back on ? New truck to me and just got a tailgate from a donor. Tried removing the hinge and then attached support arm but can't articulate the door with hinges as it won't bend enough with support arms on.

1966 F100 Styleside. There is the correct tailgate and another that will fit (but looks slightly different), as it uses the exact same mounting hardware.
C4TZ-9940700-A .. Tailgate-has large FORD block letters: 1964/66 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD
C7TZ-9940700-A .. Tailgate-has smaller FORD letters surrounded by a raised ovate scallop line: 1967/72 F100/350.
