Can someone tell me what colors the wires (are supposed to be) goes to brake light switch on master cylinder? Mine are missing from the switch connections.

Thanks...I know it's weird but both wire connections are missing, but in the harness I notice someone spliced together a red w/blue stripe and a red wire together. And it doesn't look original .
I think I figured it out...the PO for some strange reason thought it was easier to connect the two red wires that are supposed to snap on the switch instead of replacing switch with a new one...this would mean his brake lights were always on...don't get that one. The switch only cost 5 bucks
Not if you are really fast! Welcome to FTE! You may have to just bleed a little air out around the new switch. Shouldn't get any air down in the line if you leave the pedal alone while you have the switch off.
By the way, I assume you are talking about a 57'-60' truck?, F100? It is always best to give plenty of info when asking questions.
It sounds like you're keeping it all original, so if you're using the original single master cylinder with the brake light switch in the end, then I didn't have to bleed anything when I replaced mine.
I'm running out of people to borrow so I broke down and bought a bleeder that pumps fluid from the wheel cylinder back into the master, works great. Are you replacing the hard lines or just the three rubber?
hiball,
Which bleeder did you buy? Phoenix? I've been using a vacuum bleeder for 3 days now and have finally come to the conclusion that my (second) master cylinder is junk right out of the box. It's been a week that makes me wish I had taken up golf.
