Autohubs not fully releasing
My autohubs weren't working at all, so by using Guzzle's webpage inst. I took them apart, cleaned, then greased them using both the white and standard axle grease where indicated. They engage just fine now, but when they are disengaged and I make a sharp turn I'm still getting the 'bunny hop', although it's not as severe as when they are fully engaged. I did the backup trick, but it's still happening. Any ideas? I don't think I put too much grease on the gear splines. I don't really want to have to buy manual hubs. Please leave your thoughts as I really want your input on this. 2003 F250 4x4 Supercab LB Laredo 6.8. Thanks

With the hubs unlocked, or so you think, or even completely removed from the hub, reach around the back of the wheel and try turning the axle by hand. It should be somewhat hard to get started, but once moving, move freely and smoothly.
If not, the inner needle bearing is dry or shot. The bearing, because it's on the inside of the unitized wheel bearing, spins with the wheel. So when they are dry, they will cause the axle to turn with the wheel even when the hub is unlocked.
