Short story since I've posted before. 87 6.9 truck 92 7.3 engine. The 87 has 8 wires
2 x black/yellow - glow plug current
Red/white - coolant gauge
Red/black - coolant light
White/Red - oil pressure
Black/purple- glow module
Red/ green-low temp in series with pump stuff
Solid blue -fuel heater
The 92 has 12 wires
2x yellow- glow plug current
2x red/white- one is coolant other is?????
2x red/green-low temp in series with pump stuff and fuel heater
White/Blue- coolant light
White/Red- oil pressure
Black/purple- glow module
Solid red-???????
Black/Blue-??????
Red/yellow??????
The 92 has fuel pressure water in fuel and looks like a fuel warmer.
I have it running and the gauges all work but the other wires must be for high idle and the fuel shut off etc. Anyone have a 92 that can look? Or a diagram? Thanks

Reason: figured out more wires
That's for the 87? That's what I figured. Thanks. Now what wires do I hook them up to on the 92? Do the wires on the pump come off the relay at the back of the engine? They must because I don't have anymore wires ?

No ... that's for the 92. I didn't find a wiring diagram for the 87. I don't know where they physically come from.
I put both red green from 92 to red green on 87 and it runs but not sure it's right. Just have np idea if I'm good to go now or worry about the extra wires. Wish I knew how to post pics. But the files are too big to upload to my album. Just have to friend everyone on fb lol.

If you post them on Facebook, you can right-click on the pictures to get the URL and then post that here.
Ok so that diagram confirms my thoughts. I'm still a little unclear though. The red green 87 goes to the fuel pump mess o wires. So how many on the 92 have to splice into it? Both red greens and the red/ yellow? That's the best 87 diagram I have found. Thanks. One layer out like that for the 92 would be awesome.
It looks like the 87 truck is expecting its red/yellow wire to go to both the cold idle solenoid and the cold timing advance solenoid, both on the fuel injection pump. I think those two are just daisy chained.
You could just run some new wire from the 87's harness over to the injection pump.
The 87 is expecting red/light green to go to the fuel shutoff solenoid and engine temperature switch hot side. The color for the temperature switch on the 92 is red/light blue.
I'll keep working on the glow harness. I have a spare off a 90. I'll cut it apart.
There are two other issues I have. Clutch is a miserable @#@?!#@!#?#!#?@#!? To bleed lol but I've seen and read dozens of threads on that. The other is a neutral safety or fender solenoid issue. I keep jumping it to start. How do I check each pc of the puzzle?
As for pictures, I do everything from my phone. Wife figures I'll go on dating sites or **** so the computer is off limits to me. Lmfao. Like the phone can't do that. Anyway I haven't figured out how to post or link pics with the phone yet. I'll keep trying.
If all else fails rip it out and Google the part #. It's the water in fuel module. So now I am down to finding out what the two red/green wires are for the 92. One has to go to the pump stuff. Not sure about the other one. And my green fuel heater Wire from the 87 will go to the????? Wire on the 92?
Thanks everyone. Don't all jump in at once now lol.
