I am running Stainless Steel MagnaFlows that I got got $61 each off of Amazon.
I really like the sound, but can not comment on how loud the are during driving yet, as she is not road worthy.
I'm real curious how these sound. Have a pair on my 2005 Mustang and I really like them, was considering these for my crew but never heard of anybody using them on a truck until you posted.
On my stang, they are fairly subdued at idle, but still have a nice deep throaty sound. Zero drone on the freeway, but sound very aggressive if you get on it.
I imagine it would sound quite a bit different on a big block with an aggressive cam, long tube headers, and no cats.
On my 79' 400CI I was running a dynomax welded muffler with the stock pipes. It sounded quiet when idling with a low, muffled growl but under acceleration it sounded very beefy.
I learned that muffler placement on the exhaust is more important that what muffler is used.

My truck came with one on it with 3 in tube and it sounds great. I also put a set on my 03 F150 and loved the sound. Not to loud but definitely noticeable.
While I love the sound of a big block with glass packs, and the old school hot rod sound it evokes, I'd much rather have something a bit better sounding on my 76.
It will probably be awhile before I get the opportunity to do so, but I'm really liking the sound of those Magnaflows and Moroso's. Tough decision I'm going to have to make.
