Kids decided they didn't want to camp anymore so we sold the camper last month and yesterday I delivered the 2011 F350 to its new owner. Didn't even have 15,000 miles on it! Loved to drive it, but seemed a shame to let it sit in the driveway 95% of the time.
Anyway...I'll continue to pop in now and then to drool over all the new trucks and to watch for my next one.
BTW, I've got a Hensley adapter plate for the under bed mount if anyone needs one. Check the classifieds.
I just have a camper as an excuse to have a Super Duty.
Heh heh... My wife was trying to convince me to keep it....she knows that $45K is burning a hole in my pocket already.... Porsche Cayman looks nice.....
So, now no truck at all? How do you survive? What do you use to haul fire wood, go to the dump, haul off the old used appliances and furniture, etc. I would be completely and utterly lost without a truck. Mine sits in the garage 90% of the time and I can't immagine being without it. It never sits in the driveway.

I have 2 friends nearby with trucks that I can borrow whenever I like. One is an older 1500 chevy gasser and the other is an 06 Duramax. Like you I go to the dump a few times a year, get coal for the stove, pick up fence, etc. but only 10-12 times a year or so. I'll probably pickup a 150,000 mile 4wd truck for $5K or so and won't mind it sitting in the driveway most of the time. The neighbor kid just bought s full size Dodge (spit) 4X4 supercab that runs great for $2300. That'd work just fine.
I've got a 7 X 16 trailer too that can be towed by my wife's car and would really do 99% of the hauling I need.
My garage bays are filled with other toys that I won't let sit outside.
Bought my first pickup in 1971. One Dodge, and 4 Ford's later and I've never had a day without owning a truck. Don't know what I'd do without having Truck in the driveway, just the thought scares me.....
LOL
I have had at least 1 truck in the drive way since I was 19.
For our move to NV I sold my Danger Ranger for the move, Used it for dump runs and what ever's, did not realize how many what ever's I did till it was gone and had to use the " Big Girl" ( no offence to our female members) for every thing.
Buying 38 acres in NV and going to have to use the new one for hauling, building fence and "what ever's", is driving me crazy, The wife just lauph's at me when I talk about getting another truck, " MY GOD it's a truck why did u buy it then, I wish you babied me and the dog as much as this truck" I've heard this on more than one occasion the last couple weeks, AND SHE IS RIGHT LOL.
I't has to get it's first owner caused dent in scratch sooner or later, was hoping for it to be much later......
To the OP, I bet you'll have that beater truck quicker than you think. It really sucks to be without one. I sold my Dodge outright 5 weeks before my 13 came in and those were 5 long weeks.
Mine sits most of the week but when it get used it gets used, firewood, 14K on the trailer, mulch, dirt whatever needs done, it's got a back rack on it that saved the back glass once already. Some days it gets lucky and gets to cart bicycles around. I'm sure a lot of the guys on here that baby their trucks would think I'm absolutely nuts, but despite being a loaded lariat, at the end of the day, it's a truck.

Thanks, Gavin. I'll miss it, but I have enough other toys to keep me busy!
