Motorcraft Mercon V lab analysis
No particular reason for the post except to share info. Nothing really to report except for that I went ahead and changed the transmission fluid since it's been over 60k miles since I've done that last. I sampled around 16k and again around 34k miles and based on the trends, I figured I would be due for a fluid change around 50k miles. However, I lost track of time and neglected to change the fluid back during the 300k mile service (even though it was on my list...) 
I finally got around to doing it this week but now the truck has over 312k on the odometer so I went about 10k miles further than I wanted.
Even so, it looks like the lab would have told me to keep running it for a while longer. According to the analyst that I spoke with, he normally recommends a fluid change when the acid number approaches or exceeds 2.0
I am glad I changed it anyway. Peace of mind for another 50k I guess....
