floor mats
#5
I opted for the carpeted Ford front & back floor mats at Dealer cost, as part of the closing deal on my then brand new 99 Ranger. With a good coating of Scotch Guard on them, the carpet & seats before use & regular vacuuming & a yearly shampoo with a portable Bissel spot carpet cleaner & recoating with more Scotch Guard after they dried, they all still look good 14 years later!!!!!
The OEM mats are heavy duty, well made so they fit well, lock into place so they don't slide around & they & the carpet underneath still look nearly new when cleaned. Drivers side mat piling is showing some heel mash down where my right foot rests to mash the go pedal, but fluffs up with a good vacuuming, or carpet cleaning & vacuuming to raise the pile while it dries!!!!
Of course carpet floor mats aren't practical for muddy, off roading, or greasy work trucking, but mine doesn't get more than some tracked in fishing debris, or spills with the grand kids, but they've tolerated that kind abuse just fine so far.
So, I give the OEM carpeted floor mats a double thumbs up if your truck will be used more like a car than a Truck!!!!! lol
