Front end issue

I was at my cabin last weekend, traveling down a small hill on an old dirt road, needed to ride the brakes a bit, hit a small bump and the front end went NUTS, just about vibrated the steering wheel out of my hands. Last until I got is topped a few yards later. Once I came to a stop and started going again, the vibration was gone. It has not come back, drove 250 miles home with no issue. Tracks straight, no vibrations, etc. Any ideas? Thanks.

kinda hard to say what it could be, if it where my truck i would crawl under the front end and try to start moving things around by hand. do some pullin and pushin on the steering bars and such. also jack it up and grab ahold of the tires and see if you have movement, one hand up top,one at the bottom of the tire, try to rock it back and forth.
could be ball joints, tie rod ends, ? just have to look it over.
