Ok so on my 7 hr drive home yesterday the front end started shaking like never before. Sometimes it felt like i was on those strips along the highway that are there to wake you u up if u cross the white line. Any ways sometimes it was like riding on a cloud, other times it was a little bump, other times it felt like my wheels where going to fly off. Idk if i threw a wheel weight, or my u-joints are bad, i need a front end alignment, or its cause of my lift. but its never done this before yesterday and it scared the hell outta me and figured someone on here might have experienced the same thing, idk if this is what they call " death wobble" but whats been done to the front end so far is complete new brakes in december, new bearings and races exactly a year ago on spring break, and ball joints, tie-rods steering linkage etc 2 decembers ago, plus the lift last sept. any help would be great so i can fix this before i go back to school in a week and a half thanks guys.
Can you feel it in steering wheel? brake pedal? or was the dashboard shaking, U-joints.
May try to get a friend in another car to drive next to you when it starts to look/listen.
just a thought.
Yea i might take it to schwabs and have them check it out since the did all that work after i bought it so if its bad its under warranty and they can fix it. i guess i could take a look at it first tho haha

I felt it mostly in the steering wheel i guess but in my seat too. At first i thought it was tc about to blow up cause my OD light was blinkin and since the truck had never done this before i thought the tc was finally on its way out, but i took a pit stop restarted the truck quickly and cleared the code but it still did it after that .Yea i was tuaght if u feel it in ur *** the problem is in the rear, if u feel it in ur hands its in the front lol. So idk what to do, but yea i had a buddy in front of me and he said the front end wasnt doing anything wierd other than my usual passenger tire toeing out, dam thing.
yea thats probably what im going to do. If it turns out to be the u-joints are any old u-joints good? like can i just go down to napa and buy some or is there something better, or somewhere else i should get some?
I would just NAPA or "Track Auto". Make sure you wheels are chaulk (sp) and you are in nuetral. Hopefully it will be something that simple. Let us know!
I had something simalar happen a few years ago (mine 2wd) turned out that I lost a wheel weight. What happened when it hit a bump the tire started bouncing (like a basketball), the only way to stop it was to come to almost a complete stop. Other then the shaking I felt like I was in control. With death wobble you do not feel in control, you must come to a stop in order to clean your shorts. Death wobble usually can be tracked to worn steering components and/ or worn bushings or possibly broken spring centering pin. Good luck, hopefully all you need is to have the wheels balanced.

Yea a wheel weight was my first thought cause it just came outta f-ing no where and started happening. No im deffinetly in control of it, it just scares the chit outta me thinkin something's about to break and leave me stranded, but it made it 6 hrs and got me home some how haha.
Umm idk it was usually happening between 60-75 cause thats what i was doin on the highway and I usually coasted instead of hitting the brakes when it happened or just ignored it and prayed nothing broke lol.

It's like Han Solo in the Millennium Falcon when he says "She'll hold together!" Then mumbles to the ship, "Come on, baby, hold together..."
