I recently replaced the seals in the front pump of my daughter's '92 f-150 SCAB, 302 4x4 with the E4OD. Since putting the trans all back in and together, it now makes a nasty ticking noise. It is mostly noticeable in park and idle, but you hear it as RPMs increase in gear. It is definitely coming from the front of the trans. I pulled the inspection plate today, thinking it may be a cracked flex plate, but saw no cracks. Would a torque converter make a ticking or clicking noise if it were going bad? Other than the noise, the truck runs and shifts fine with 212,xxx on it (Though I do believe that the PO replaced the trans at one time). Any other ideas?
