hello
i was planning on buying a 1995 ford f-150 ext. cab. the person that owns the truck put on a rough country leveling kit. my question is does the leveling kit bring the load capacity down? i mean i like the level look but not at the cost of what it can haul, i understand the 150 can't haul all that much to begin with dont want to make that less. thanks.
Our 86 F150 4x4 has a leveling kit but the truck is a camper or trailer special I forgot. It doesn't affect anything as far as I could tell but I didn't have the truck before. The previous owner of our 86 said it didn't affect it and him and his brother installed.

sweet, i was just told it just brings up the front a little i thought it dropped the rear to level with the front, thats why i was worried about its load capcity thank goodness it doesn't. thanks for the reply
no I don't think I could ever see my family buying a lowered truck in the front or rear. LOL. But ya depending on the truck it usually looks really nice. I have hauled tons of heavy loads with the 86 no problem what so ever.

As far as I understand it, leveling kits raise the front end and does nothing to the rear suspension and then doesn't affect hauling capacity or towing capacity. If the rear is lowered, it is considered a drop kit of some kind.
