1997 Ford Explorer Window problem
Hello folks, I have a tricky and weird problem. I have a 1997 Ford 4 door Explorer. And there is a problem with my driver side window. When I press the button on the switch to make it go down, it goes a little ways then it stops. Then I press the button again and it goes a little ways then it stops. It keeps doing that until it is all the way down. Now when I press the button to make it go up, it does nothing, it is stuck in the down position. Now, I have had the motor replace only to find out that it was not the motor, the first motor was fine. So I checked the regulator and it was not the regulator it was fine. I changed out the master multi control switch and it did the same thing. It is not the switch. I cut the wires at the plug in to the motor and connected it to the battery and the window went up and went down with no problem. So I know it is not my motor, my regulator nor the switch. Now, when I press the button to try and make the window come up, I here a click noise that sounds like it is under my steering column. Now I have heard about relays and stuff like that which could be the problem. does anyone know about this. I need to get this window problem fixed.
