Many questions about various things
1.) I've mentioned before about getting a new seat
Instead of replacing my seat with another seat, I want to get either a new leather/vinyl seats, bucket or bench don't matter, however I don't know where to go to get one.
2.) I want/need a lift kit.
I need it becuase of the tires I want (31/33/35's) won't go on my truck as is becuase my 255/70/15 rub against the truck when I turn the steerin wheel all the way. I need to know of a good/reliable lift kit. I'm only lifting it 2 in"
3.) I need a real mechanic, not just a lube shop.
I'm leakin coolant, trans fluid, motor oil and my 4x4 won't engage when I spin the tires. I have a good idear on what is causin most of this
The motor oil: I think it's either the Push Rod Cover (Side Cover) gasket or the oil pan gasket.
The trans fluid: I think it's the trans pan gasket
The 4x4: I think it's either a vaccum hose or the hub is stripped/torn out
However I want a second and maybe a thrid opinion before I go and start pourin money into it. So I need to know of a real mechanic near concord/kannapolis nc.
As far as finding a seat goes, try Googling it. There are several different places you can find them. JC Whitney used to sell them, so I'm sure there are other places too.
As far as the lift kit goes, in my opinion, ditch the idea of using a 2" kit (a.k.a. leveling kit) They cause allot of problems with alignment. Go to a 4" kit and make sure it comes with everything! Drop brackets for the radius arms and axles, leafs instead of blocks in the rear, etc. Also be a good idea to put new bushings in. A 4" kit will clear 33's no problem and might could even squeeze 35's with some minor trimming on the bumper .
There you go.
