Can anyone tell me the first year this option was available and what all it was composed of?
Thanks
My 53 was a "Deluxe" cab, my parts truck was not. I can tell you what is different between the two.
On "Deluxe" cab:
Hardboard upholstery behind the seat, matching the headliner
Door locks on both doors (standard cab on passenger door only)
Inside light switches on both doors (standard cab on driver's door only)
Hardboard door panels
Arm rests on both doors
Locking glove box lid
Passenger sun visor
Stainless trim on drip edge around cab
Stainless trim around wing-glass and on the track between the wing and door glass
"Boomerang" trim on hood
"Teeth" in grille
Dual horns
I may be missing something, but those are what I found on my trucks.

1951. Then it was called the "extra cab" option. The list of goodies consisted of a better padded seat with two tone upholstery, an interior dome light, door trim panels that matched the headliner, arm rests, a passenger side sun visor, a glove box door lock, a left door exterior lock, and additional stainless trim around the windows (front and sides) and on the hood sides.

Yes! I forgot the locking glove box door.
I also forgot the dual horns.
I didn't know about the passenger sun visor, as my donor cab didn't have either one. I went out and looked, and there does not seem to be evidence there were screws in the holes on the passenger side. I'm going to assume it applied to the 53 as well.
The seat in mine was too far gone when I got it, so I don't know if it was a two-tone. Do you know if that applied to the 53?
I forgot to mention, the "Deluxe" cab became the "Custom" cab in 1955.

I think it's called a fresh air heater but I got a 53 deluxe parts cab with one.
