What did the typical "custom cab" option offer, for the 1957 to 1960 F100's? I always thought they all came with
1) big rear window
2) hardboard headliner
3) dressier instrument cluster
4) chrome front grille,(was this availiable w/o custom cab?)
Thanks in advance............freezeplug
You could always get a large wrap around rearwindsheld. Drivers side door lock. The option of two tone paint. Electric wipers on the 6cyl. Dressier seat material. The chrome strip along the windsheild(and rear if optioned with the wrap around). Not sure what else, kenny should be around. -4speed
As far as I know, My 57 custom cab came with
1. small back window (maybe the large had to be ordered)
2. headliner with holes in it ( to deaden sound I think)
3. custom cab on both doors
4. door locks on both doors
5. some type of cardbord on the inside of the doors and kick panels.
6. chrome grille
Their may be more?
They are not on my truck any more. But I still have them they are in bad shape. I am going to use them as paderns to make new ones out of wood. I can take a picture of them but I need to dig them out I will do it this weekend. If you still want to see them. I havent been to successful posting pictures on this form. But I could e mail them to you that way.
Thats cool, never knew they made door panels for 57-60's. "hopes it was for 57-58 custom cabs or else I'm in trouble". 57, if you need an help posting pics check my gallery for a step-by-step process. If not, e-mail 'em to me too if you don't mind. Later, -4speed

That sounds like everthing my truck had I forgot about some of it. To bad some of it is missing. Mr4speed I might take you up on that. I used to know how to do then the form changed. I am not very good with computers.
Thanks to all, so far, for the info. I would imagine my '60 custom cab package would've been similiar to the '57? I have the bright grille and headlight panels. Had the headliner, but now is gone......need a new one, along with the insulation.
