I just bought a complete and supposedly running 400M. The block has the Cleveland Foundry casting stamp on the top of it, with the Casting Code D7TE A3B. I have not been able to find this casting code on any of the decoders. Just below the Casting Code is what I believe to be the Date Code, but all that is on there is 6M1.
Now things really get interesting. The left head has the Michigan Casting foundry code with a casting code of D5AE-A2A. The right head has the Cleveland Foundry stamp on it and the only code on it is 7A28.
Can anyone help me out with build dates on these parts. Also, will it hurt to run the engine with mismatched heads?
