block casting number 7A184089?
Let me start off by saying the previous owner of my truck put an autozone long block in it.Now for my question,The 351m casting code is found on the pass. side of the block next to the oil press. sender right?I have a code there but.All block codes start with D--- right?My code is 7A18089.Also are the factory numbers stamped in or raised?I would like to know the year of the engine so I can get the right timing specs.Since they changed almost every year they were made. Sorry for so many questions,but im lost here.

I think I have it all figured out.I dont know what number I found but the The casting number is above the starter,and the date code is on the front pass. side timing cover surface of the block. the casting number was D7TE A2B. D is the decade which is 1970s,7 is the year within decade,T is 74-82 truck and bronco,and E is the source Engine Engineering; Powertrain and Chassis product Engineering.The date code was 7f29,7 is year,F is month,29 is day.Mine was 1977, june ,29th.
