Instrument Panel Illumination

Instrument Panel Illumination
I recently purchased a 2006 Expedition EB. I've noticed that the oval-shaped module that houses the switch for the headlights and the panel dimmer control doesn't light up when the lights are on. If I pull the control and turn on the fog lights, that indicator lights up. Everything else on the dashboard and other controls like the windows and locks illuminate when the lights are on.
Is the headlight switch module supposed to have back-lit illumination? If so, any suggestions about what to look for that could be the culprit? I replaced the factory stereo with a JVC double-din the first day I had the truck so I've had the dash panel apart. I took a look at the rear of the headlight module while I had it apart but didn't notice anything.

I guess my word isn't good enough? Fine well then maybe the 2006 Expedition wiring diagram will be good enough for you. The headlight switch identifies the illumination lamp as #4 in the schematic.

Sorry you were offended...but to me, "Yes I do believe it is supposed to be back-lit. " is a much different statement than "Yes, I checked and mine is illuminated". I asked for a confirmation, not a "belief".
Your research was appreciated, anyway. Now, I've got to figure out whether my module light is out or whether the illumination voltage is not being applied through the connector. The information you supplied will be valuable in knowing which pin to check on the connector. Thanks for your help.
