That is always a sad thing Shaun. I'm glad my son-in-law got out. He was in Athens, GA.

That it is George. Was a 13 year veteran of the dept. Had a wife and kids. HE at least managed to shoot the suspect several times on his way down.

Shaun I saw that news report earlier, it is a shame and it just goes to show that you never know what you are walking into.

It is such a shame no matter how you look at it. At least he was able to get off some good shots, but it does not matter because he is no longer here for his family.

Your right Neil. Still a shame no matter what. The suspect is still in serious condition at the trauma center.

Just got an update Neil. The guy that shot the officer died in the hospital a few hours ago.

That just makes the officer's death even more of a shame. His family will not get the satisfaction of seeing his killer get sentenced for his crime.
