Australian Shepherds are known for being smart, loyal dogs. They do need someone to spend time with them. And you're right, they need a lot of room to roam.

That's why I got my 2 little 9 lb yorkies...Max and Annie. The're crazy funny to watch and easy to handle in an apartment environment. Bold and curious is the best way to describe them. And their not brother/sister......and no, homie ain't havin' no puppies.

My collie is such a damn good dog. Low maintenance, well behaved, not yappy. And, he was wonderful with my daughter, she would roll on him, ride him, whatever, and he was always good with her doing whatever!

Best dog I had was a Black Lab/ Great Dane mix. I mad a saddle bag for for, and we hiked many a mountain together. She carried her own supplies. She was great with kids and other dogs. Havent had one since she passed.

There's nothing smart about these 2 dogs..

We have had a lot of good dogs over the years, but my favorite would probably be our st. bernard. She was extremely playful, intelligent, and loyal. Couldn't have asked for a better dog. We also currently have a 1/2 schnowser (sp?) 1/2 dachshund. She is also everything you could ask for in a dog.

Well, off to my meeting that I don't want to go to. At least I get lunch out of it. I'll be back later.

Labs are great dogs!!! Best all around dog there is. Great with kids, low maintenance, good guard dog when needed, etc. I'm sure you miss her/him.

She was great, and yes I do. The first dog I had was a Bernese Mountain dog. GREAT dogs. Smart and loyal to a fault.
