88 7.3idi Truck is missing, surging and blowing a lot of white smoke. Gonna change injectors and come across ultrapower at rockauto. Any one heard of them? Rebranded? $23 bucks is a good price for a new injector. Was looking.for best price on delphi when i found them. Also im just wanting to get it running good not looking to squeeze every last hp out of it. Should i just go with remans?
the main thing is that you change them out for something better than what you have.don't worry too much if you can't afford a brand new $300+ set.iv run remans in the past and they were crap loads better than the original ones that came with the engine, many moons ago.
then i did eventually toss a brand new set of g codes in her.she sure does like those too.
There is a member or 2 on here that sell pop tested, matched remans. I'd go that route since all the stories about bad new or reman ones from ebay and several other online stores. Can someone link Justin's (??) site?
I just google R&D idi performance I think that I will try there next, from what little studying that i've done the bb codes are what everyone wants.
I got a set of "standard"s that were new and they only lasted a year.
Got a set of remans from peseacola diesel. Ultra fast shipping might i add. Have read mixed reviews on them but for the price I thought i would try them. Waiting on my delphi install kit to put them in. Any tips?
Lube up the O rings a little and be sure the copper washer stayes on the injector when sliding it into the hole and the hole is clean, Some anti seize on the threads keep the caps on until you go to slide on the return cap.
Why didn't you go with R and D you can't beat his deal.
