Run the gauge figure out what you Have

#1=ECT vs EOT @ 65mph steady (Leval ground Preferred but not a Deal Breaker ) Untill the Numbers STabilize at this time the Spread between them should be NO MORE then 15*f

#2= Check ECT & EOT & TFT after 12 hour cold soak should be Same

#3=Check
ICP & ICPV & IPR% when Hot at KOEO--Idle--2500rpm

#4= Check BARO & MAP & EBP at KOEO maybe BOOST psi at WOT

If you have a smart phone, dump the SGII and go DashBoss (iphone) or Torque Pro (droid). You need to know where your oil and coolant and trans temps are (really are) and make sure you have a good set of Batts and at least a 140A alt to save that precious FICM (watch the volts on it). What a great deal, I wish I could have 4+ trucks for what I paid....

But Dude! I passed an ST the other day... You need to step up to an FJR, really you do...

It's all good, wish you were in my area, I need some more super sport tourers around to hang with...

LMAO!
Cool, but I am just fine with my ST running Double Dark! Replaced foot peg acorns already. I have been on my New to Me CB1000 lately. I do need to jump on the ST for a couple days. I'll give you a PM when I may be heading to your part.

Will do with the Torque Pro, but the SGII I already have for now.

That' a good deal with that low mileage. You could afford some great upgrades eventually.

Blue spring on order
Coolant filter kit on order

My truck is early 04 (07-03 BUILD). I do not see anything about either coolers replaced on Oasis, but ill talk to owner today. So what else I need to do this? Gasket kits? Stand pipe? Dummy plugs? What coolant? I have a Ring Power only 2 miles from my house so CAT is available .

with our early build trucks we dont have to worry about stand pipes and dummy plugs we have a slightly different system under the rocker cover. When you get to doing injector replacement or service you'll see there aren't many pictorials showing ours, procedure is pretty much the same though.

our EGR cooler is top notch too BPD design is based off it, EGR D still good idea though. Our biggest disadvantages are the ICP / IPR locations and rear turbo bolt.

of course there are many discussion of which are best years. But you already have the early '04 so focus on that.

Well that is some good info. The ICP and Pigtail was changed out 5 months ago. But, the oil cooler is original. I will have to read up on the turbo bolt thing.

Rear turbo bolt is not too big of a deal, its pointing inward others are downward I believe. It just makes it more difficult when it is stuck. On the plus side once you have it out you don't need to put it back in. Many have left it out for years and have had zero troubles.

Does it have a Gauge setup??
I do hope to run a tunner for mpg after I get this standard maintenance done. I don't plan to do the studs until signs show or I hit the Mega Millions tonight. I will change the oil cooler now too. No gauges yet. In the plans.
I will only be pulling a small Motorcycle trailer from time to time and my 26 foot Travel Trailer a couple times a year and not more than 300 miles each time in FL,GA,SC maybe as far as NC but not in any plans.

Better pic after a wash. Still need a good paint cleaning and wax.
Its riding a little low because of all the oil in the tool box.

Im in my office in the front of the house waiting for the Brown Truck.

BTW, the oil stained driveway is from several Dodge Cummins over the last 5 years, including the one behind in the photo. Hey, if its Dodge or Cummins, Its going to leak!
