Fuel pump failed

Fuel pump failed
Appears not the 1st time this has happened as the connections were not stock.
plus the pump output line nipple that screws into the pump body was 1/4" 27 NPT and the new pump from FLAPS was some kind of straight thread.
Pissed me off when it didn't fit. Finally got ahold of a tap kit and re=tapped the threads to fit and get me home. Longest 150 miles of watching the gauges EVER.
So what is the factory configuration.

Right except when you buy a pump from the Friendly Local Auto Parts Store (FLAPS) you get just the pump with push on connector on inlet and threaded female fitting on outlet. So the truck has a threaded / push on nipple on oulet.
It's one of those things you discover in a parking lot at night with mosquitos biting the snot out of you.
Seems these trucks have some different configurations. Not to mention as old as they are someone (DAPO) has usually been in there before and "fixed" it.
