engine sawp, throttle cable question
I am in the prosses of swaping out my 300 l6 for a high performance 5.8 that I am building for my 95 f-150 4x4. I am going carbureted. the question is can the stock throttle cable be utilized, or will I have to buy a different cable assembly? thanks

I would say if you have a single cable & the end of the cable has the same connection as your running on the I-6 your fine. But you will have to decide once you get the engine in will it be to short.
Unless some has done exactly what your doing everything will be a guess. The other option is look up a throttle cable for a 95 with an I-6 & one for a 5.8.

You may get lucky and be able to route the cable in a way that it will work. On EFI vehicles, the cables are longer to reach the throttle body, as well as the older I6's to reach the carb on the passenger side of the engine. You may end up having to get a new/used cable for a carbureted V8.
