brakes

Not really a truck question but maybe someone has had experience with this. A friend asked me to change the brakes on his 96 Lincoln Town car. There are 2 bolts that hold the caliper bracket to the spindle. I can't break them loose even with an impact wrench. Any suggestions?

That ^, If you aren't able to release them you won't be able to work on the brakes. But before you use a breaker bar, take a big punch and a hammer and hit the bolt's head several times, don't be shy, but don't mess the head, it's probably rust holding the bolts stuck in place.
