So I just installed the the gauge pod on my truck and
i've noticed my fuel pressure is at like 25 when coasting but as soon as i hit that throttle it drops to zero
My fuel filter is only a few months old and the pressure sending unit isnt leaking any fuel so i'm kinda stumped. No real loss of power either. Really hoping it isn't a pump.
And I should add it has a Check Engine light but no codes.
Just to verify the screens in your tank are clogged. Take you gas cap off. Disconnect the fuel line from the back of the fuel pump and blow air back into you tank using compressed air. If you hear a big bluuurrrrpppp you need to drop the tank and do the hutch mod
Check fuel pressure again after doing that and let us know.
That's fine for now to get you the information you now know. I would move it whenever you get time. For now just blow air back into the tank and let's see what changes. Cycle the key a few times before you try to fire it up. Let the pump get some fuel back in the line you blow out.
You should not have done anything to hurt anything. What I'm guessing is you jay have a lot of air in your fuel lines now. Try letting it run for a little while
If the tank and screens prove to not be the reason for low pressure, disassemble the FPR and check for damage (broken spring, stuck part, collapsed spring support).
