And let me tell you, what a difference. It's like everything else where over a period of time we tend to forget what it was like. These things actually are round and roll in a circle instead of bouncing up and down. I've been procrastinating way to long on them and front end alignment. Wife calls me "cheep", I say I'm "thrifty", just had to get a few more miles out of the tread.
I know I'm getting better millage since it's my daily driver and go the same route every day.
What are you running for tires Jim? It does bite the ol wallet a little when you have to buy 4 new ones.
This time around I went with Firestone AT TransForce 235 85R 16. I like the tread design and they are very quiet. Guess I'll see how they do in rain and snow this winter.

i had them on the rear of my 2wd truck for one or two winters and they did pretty well. i also had about 400-450lbs of concrete in the bed to help with snow traction as well, but they still did good none the less. i think you will be happy with them being you are 4x4. this past winter i put them on the front and got some Michelin ltx m/s 2's for the rear. With the weight in the bed those things straight up tore it up in the snow!!! i love them things. the firestones now being on the front steered like on dry pavement when in about 5-7 inches of fresh snow.
