2.3L POS???
hello, my friends wifes 2006 escape with ~50k mi motor blew. I dont know the specifics but the dealer told her there is a known problem with these engines. I couldnt find anything specifically. Anyone have a clue as to what the dealer is talking about?

The 2.3 in the Ranger I gave to an employee is about to turn 300k. There's a lot of similar and even greater mileage out there. My guess is a lack of maintenance but, even then, those motors are bulletproof....and S-L-O-W
