2006 ranger recall
anyone brought in there ranger to have the windshield motor fixed, if it needed it.

all of the rangers to choose from xlt's, shortbed, 4x4, 4x2, all had the same issue.

I do not really like the fact that they are just inspecting and greasing the motor and not replacing it. Those gears could easily get worn out from high speed operation if not greased, and greasing them is a band-aid if the problem is there.

i was looking up tundra recalls and thought i never even checked about the ranger and i found that.
funny thing is that when i put my wipers on high, it dont go there, it will if you let them run for about a minute, and switch it on and off rapidly then all of a sudden they start moving fast.
and i agree with you on them not just replacing it, we all know what happens when theres friction and no lube
