long crank

I have a 04 6.0 and I added gauges to it a while back and my oil guage is leaking...it is causing it to take a while to crank I beleave because its loosing oil pressure...I have the sensor for my guage where my oil sensor...coming out of the block with a tee and the sensor coming out the side and my original sensor on the top..but what I found out was that the threads for everything ain t the same and I cant find the fitting..everythings good but the original sensor has different threads like a fine fine thread...anybody had this problem

If you are talking about where the originol dash gauge sending unit was that is some kind of metric thread almost a jic by the pitch. Never have found anything that will fit in there corretly without some small leak.

You can use the actual test port on the bottom front of the filter houseing sometimes has a quick disconnect fitting kind of like a stablock or fuel quick disconnect on a detroit 71 series. A 12mm thread if i remember right. available in a adapter from most hydraulic supply shops. They make an adapter from metric to NPT thread. About $12. ot ya can order the adapters from FORD $$$$$

The stock oil sending unit is 7/16-20 bolt thread. That's why it's almost impossible to find anything to go in the hole without retapping to something different.
