New to the site and was hoping for some help and input. I was given a 1984 F150 4x4 long box with a 351w.(brother moved to Oklahoma and didnt want to take the truck and needed an extra $700) Other than that im not sure what trans or rear end is in it. Im not too concerend with how it drives because it runs and drives like a champ. What im looking for is a good recomended place(s) that you guys have used in the past for cosmetic parts i.e. fenders, rocker pannels, interior parts, beds. Im doing this on a slight budget and this first major thing i would like to get taken care of is the floor boards, rocker pannel and cab corners. I live in Michigan but not affraid to pay for shipping or drive a hundred miles to pick up some parts. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
Welcome Ryan. You should take some pictures of the rusted out areas so we can get a better idea of how much damage there is. I know up north you might have a hard time finding a rust free donor truck, but sometimes you are MONEY AHEAD, and EFFORT AHEAD of the game if you find a truck that has minimal rust, or can be parted out for the good parts. LMC truck sells replacement panels. However, it depend on how many you buy, you may be able to buy a whole other truck for cheap and scavenge good panels off of it and part the rest of it out.
take some pictures. Create a photobucket.com account and upload your photos there. Use the photobucket "Image Code" capy and paste it in your replies here and it will post that picture.
