Ok guys I'm looking at buying a 72 f250 chassis with pretty much just the axels and divorced tcase (203 I think) it's a d44 front closed knuckle, anyone know what I should offer the guy? It has a few spots of rust that I may or may not have to patch up but overall nice. He said it was an old county truck. It's buried under angle iron and a recently fell tree in the backyard... Just need to know what would be too much to pay.
How in the world can we answer that? Pictures would help. A complete and better description would be nice. Are tags current?
Questions like this could get responses from $1.00 all the way to $1,000,000.00
You really got to think these kinds of questions through.

We'll I don't think the tags are current on just a chassis, axels and tcase. In case I wasn't clear it's not a complete truck. No cab, no bed, no motor, no trans.
Somewhere around the 300-600 range im guessing. That's based off of what I see them go for around here. But yet I can never find deals as apparently everybody's stuff is made of gold around here except mine. Or else they just watched a junk monkey marathon on DVR. I was talking to a guy that parts out dent sides and you should see the prices he gets from retards willing to pay for stuff off rusted a** piles. I usually deal with forum members for parts. It's so bad with moron sellers in my area. I can get rust free parts shipped to me for the same price people are asking for parts needing patch panels WTF!!!!

That's about what I was thinking. Thanks for the help. I've pretty much given up on craigslist because most people on there are just turning things over and trying to make a quick buck... Everything for sale by those people is gold and worth more than I'll ever think about offering. That's why I found this dude that's been collecting parts since 68 and you couldn't look it all over in an entire week. He doesn't really care if he sells or not so he's not money grubbing too much.
