Cool Free - LIVE Gremlins!

Hasn't been a fun week...
First, needed to replace the rear U-Joint. Had to take it to a friends store to get the joint cups air chiseled out, and of course we used a press first.
Next, can't get the dadburn last clip over the U-J cup. So after a day of messing with I finally take the tail shaft to a transmission place.
They found ONE needle bearing that fell taking up that 1/16" that I needed. Dang, and we checked twice!

Get it back on, test drive, all is well.
My buddy then parked it outside for a couple hours while he worked on a couple of other vehicles.

He goes out later to bring it onto the lift to slat the yellow brake pads on for me (nice guy) and gets it right to the ramp.

Then the pedal goes dead....
I'll go tomorrow and try to "snap" the pedal, compressed air, contact cleaner, etc to see if it helps the potentiometer regain an electrical connection.

Funny thing is, for about a month, my radio doesn't come on and windows won't work for about a minute after I close the drivers door. Have no idea what that is, but I'll get to it when I can.

But I do have a free gremlin if anyone needs one of those dirty bastages...
Now my entire instrument cluster is dead.
Happened at the same time the pedal stopped responding.

Can anyone think of a connection where the pedal goes dead and the entire instrument cluster is dead?

Someone please help me kill this dang gremlin!
I haven't been able to drive it for a week!!

sheesh.....

With all the other problems your having in the cab, door locks, radio, instrument cluster, could you be having problems with the GEM? I thought that module controled the instrumentation and stuff, I didn't think it had anything to do with the throttle though, maybe a coincidence.

Not that uncommon actually, here's a write-up that Ken(Woodnthings) did on the chaffed wires for the O/D cancel. I would take the time to inspect it at a minimum.
