Since I have got my truck over a year ago I have hated, and I mean hated the aftermarket grill that was in it. For a while thought about doing the 05 front conversion, or just the grill, and couldn't bring myself to do it. Nothing against the look, I just like the front end that's already on here.

So for a year, Ive researched, shopped around, looked at pictures, and watched craigslist, in hopes to find something I wanted. Well a few months after that is when I found what I wanted. Simple, not to much chrome, just fit. Yes its a stock item, but its the Excursion grill.

So the long haul of looking for an Excursion grill locally came to be. Very few to be had here, and I really have no clue why, but it made for an exhausting hunt. Everyone I came across that looked good, I drove out to look at in person. We all know how craigslist can be false advertising a lot, so that made for a lot of wasted trips. Perfect condition it stated, show up to it being cracked, emblem missing, ect. Or you had the few that were worth it, but they wanted just as much money as the factory did.

I know this doesn't seem like much to the normal person, but Im happy as can be. How long it took to find, and then to find it at a good price in very clean condition. Yea Im so happy I had to share for no reason at all. Haha.

so what is an excursion grill worth? I am thinking of changing mine to something else. it is a 2000 X with the same grill you installed

 

I finally found this one for 40. A lot of the ones I saw that were in good condition were anywhere between 75-150 depending if it had the emblem or not. Like I said what I was seeing was junk, or way over priced for used. This one they guy was cleaning out the garage and came across it and just wanted it gone.
