Bed rusting through Ford bedliner
Been retired 5 years and haven't kept up on a lot of things.
Wondering if it's the same PPG spray in that PPG provides Nissan for the factory installed Titan's.
It is not the same chemistry as Rhino or Line-X. Nissan had concerns similar, but it was from iron particles landing in the bed and it's crevises, and then when rain or high humidity was present, started to rust. It was not deep down in the material and did not "come up through" the spray in bedliner.
If you are interested, their TSB for dealers is at ValuGard.net under the Engineers Section, click on TSB's and scroll down to Nissan. The products are the same a Automotive International private labels for Ford under their MotorCraft brand and is in every vehicle's dealer shop/service manual.
In the mean time, I'll reach out to the Body/Paint Tech Center next week and see what I can learn.
