got a weird problem with oil pan
have a 88 f150 4x4 , 5.0
Bought a rebuilt engine . After I get it in the truck , i notice theres no place in the block for a dipstick
and my pan has no place for one . So I just been changing the oil frequently .
Anyone know of the years a pan with stick in the pan will fit ?

Ford used to put the dipsticks in the timing cover. I am not sure of the years that everything changed. Try posting this in the windsor engine forum and I bet someone there knows.
