oil pan probs ...

oil pan probs ...
have a 88 f150 4x4 , 5.0

Bought a rebuilt engine . After I get it in the truck , i notice theres no place in the block for a dipstick

and my pan has no place for one . So I just been changing the oil frequently .

Anyone know of the years a pan with stick in the pan will fit ?

Ask the shop you got it at for info as to why there`s no dipstick? I`ve never heard of such a thing! Let us know how you make out. Good Luck

oil pan probs ...
its an older block and most likely he will have to mod the pan to get it to work, or use a pan out of an older E150 van that has the dipstick in it

oil pan probs ...
Do what diesel says and get the van oilpan with the dipstick. Maybe the early 80's trucks had the dipstick in pan too?
