oil filter relocation
I ask only because I have an '00 and '03 5.4 in my E250's, not that horrible to access although the '03 does have slightly different lower radiator hoses running to it.
Top quality and spendy stuff can be obtained from Canton Racing Products: https://www.cantonracingproducts.com...D-3-14-GASKET/
There are certainly other less expensive systems but the CRP stuff would be up to most any daily driver need.

my f150 is 4x4 and to change the filter I have to assemble various extensions and a fingered filter wrench and feather this all through the wheel well, Just right and then the old filter comes off. but not without some grumbling on my part.
It gives me the sensation of trying to extract a tooth through a nose hole

If I could relocate the filter, it would help doing a simple oil change far less frustrating...besides my nose hurts

My brother's 07' f150 has a factory oil filter relocation just behind the front bumper.
SO let broaden the scope...will a OEM oil filter relocation from a earlier 5.4 2v (Non PI head) work?
or.....one from a v3 5.4 work?
Is not the differences only in the head and cams?? Are the blocks the same for either Non Pi engines and the 3v??
I have both a '00 and '03 5.4 in E250's, the '03 having a slightly different oil filter mounting arrangement. More accurately the '03 runs the lower radiator hoses differently from the '00 which makes removing the full filter more prone to spillage. I can totally identify with assembling various tools just to spin an oil filter off---has to be an easier way right? Being a DIY driveway kinda guy anything to make this otherwise simply procedure less messy is a good thing!

Hope to follow this thread to see if any other ideas come up.
