oil sending unit?

oil sending unit?
where is the oils sending unit located?
my oil light goes on when i slow down so im starting with the sending unit.
any suggestions?

Which engine????????????????????????????
Probably not the sender though. Engine's bottom end is probably due for a rebuild.

On FE engine it should be located on top of the oil filter mounting bracket. Not sure about other engines.

If you do indeed have a Cleveland, it's not the stock motor.
Anyway, 351M/400 and 351C...the sending unit would be in back, behind the carb, on the block close to the firewall. Sits straight up, like a tiny rocket ship - about 2.5" tall and circular. Screws into the block.

Look on the top of the block between the firewall and intake manifold.
