1997 oil sending unit?

I have a 1997 f150 4x4, could someone tell me where the oil sending unit is located? My guage has been jumping around and want to replace the sending unit. But unable to locate it.............Thx!!

What engine do you have?????
If it is a V8, then it is on the drivers side of the block just in front of the oil filter adapter.

Yes, its a 4.6L. I guess that info is crutial!! LOL Thx alot!!
