where did you buy this plug?
i REALLY want one to put in the back of my center console like yours. i just wired up my dvd player so that i can plug a console into my head unit and play it off of either screen and sound through my system.
Just curious what you plan to do for a spare. I once lived in Orlando, back when the Navy Nuclear Power school was there(read LONG time ago...), so I know there is not much in the way of mountains and rocks, but I always like to be prepared.
I love the clean install, and really like your installers craftsmanship. I too am curious about the change in road noise with the insulation. Keep us posted!!
One other question, what do those tires and rims measure out to be? 35x13?
Thanks again, from the opposite end of the country!

I don't carry a spare because it would just take up WAY too much room for storage. I do have a can or two of fix a flat for emergencies, ha! But the factory spare doesn't fit the truck and no one would usually have my size tire at a AAA repair shop, so I usually have a backup plan of renting a truck if I'm stuck somewhere on a trip and ordering what I need to be shipped in to that location's tire shop...I feel it's one of the inherent hazards of running the big tires and 22" wheels. I pray I never need to get a new tire all the sudden...
My rims are 22x10.5
my tires are 325-50-22 so almost 35" something like 34.8"
My insulation did a remarkable job and we've yet to do the hood liner stuff...when I do that I hear it will be even better! I can tell you that their is so little road noise it's pretty shocking! I whisper in the car now.
The truck is also well insulated and gets cooler faster inside. I now keep the A/C at a lower temperature lest I freeze out! Yippeee!
BTW: More final thoughts to come this week...had an immediate roadtrip and some initial issues I'm trying to fix and then I'll get back to sharing the juicy details!

I bought that unit off of Ebay I believe, just search for Gameplate.
They usually come with some sort of inverter, but I got mine individually.
Sorry guys! The truck has been done for some time...but as soon as I'm ready to shoot a video, something goes wrong and then I've gotta do some work to fix it. Right now, I've got an electrical short somewhere that has my OBD II port dead. That's a minor irritation, but I want to show EVERYTHING that's been done and that kinda stuff drives me bananas!
Please be patient, I will show you this baby and it's really cool!
OK, my installer found the electrical issue was my cigarette lighter was shorting to ground, blowing my obd/lighter fuse. He removed it and I will go to the parts guys for a replacement. Anybody had this problem before?
I also got ahold of the guys at DC Power about my failed alternator. They offered to rebuild it for $150 and I agreed. I will tell you all what it was that failed within the unit when I get the report.

Until later!
I was having issues with that same fuse blowing, and when I finally went searching also found the lighter was shorting. I haven't replaced mine yet, just removed the wires and sealed it off. If I plugged anything into that port it would blow the fuse.
1. Truck has been running terrific! Pulling well and chugging down diesel at a decent rate of 17-19mpg in random driving...up to 21 in super safe coasting hyper-miling mode(basically driving 65 mph everywhere on the highway.
2. Satellite dish met up with a parking garage ceiling and bit the dust. It's been shipped out to be repaired at KVH. I will get it back soon!
3. Looking to buy a second overhead monitor for the truck. The back row guests want their own screen and at $265 its not too much to ask...
4. I replaced my rear light bar since my wife destroyed the first one...it seems much better quality from the first one...and they were both from the same company, go figure!
6. Dent in front bumper and paint problems on my hood and roof are a setup for a respray and repair to be done to the truck in those areas...my first estimate was $1800. I will shop a couple of more painters. Rust in the room and the hood is killing me!
7. I got new floormats and I love them! Pics to come...catch all mats.
8. Stereo is great and loud! I think we have it pretty well dialed in now.
9. Changed my tire pressure monitoring system from the Orange system to the TST 507 system. My audio installer and I plan to mount the monitor on the center top of dash as I am running out of places to put gauges. BTW the battery in that thing lasts a long time!
10. Thinking about a computer mount for the passenger seat and a phone mount for the passenger as well. Maybe an airframe+, anyone try one of those iphone 6 plus mounts for the airvents?
